Tea type: Ripe Pu-erh / Shou Puer
Style: Gongting / golden-bud ripe Pu-erh
Format: Individually wrapped mini square bricks
Total net weight: 500g
Taste & aroma
The tea brews dark and smooth with a rich mature aroma, warm date-like sweetness and a soft rounded body. Fine tea material and a high bud proportion help give the liquor a sweeter, more fragrant profile while retaining the depth expected from ripe Pu-erh.
How to brew
Gongfu: Use one mini brick or around 6–8g in a 120–180ml gaiwan or teapot. Brew with 95–100°C / 203–212°F water. Rinse briefly, then start with a 15–20 second infusion. Increase later steeps gradually as the brick loosens.
Everyday mug: Use one mini brick in 300–400ml of boiling water and steep for 2–3 minutes. Re-steep several times, adding time to later brews.
When to drink
These mini bricks are particularly convenient after meals, at the office or while travelling. The pre-portioned format makes it easy to brew ripe Pu-erh without using a tea knife or scale.
Food pairing
Pair with dates, roasted nuts, sesame pastries, mooncake, dark chocolate, dim sum or savoury mushroom dishes. The tea’s date-like sweetness and mellow body pair especially well with toasted and caramelised flavours.
Storage
Keep the individually wrapped bricks in a clean, dry and odor-free place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. A tea tin, ceramic jar or dedicated tea box works well for everyday storage.
Tea-room styling & gifting
The metallic-gold wrappers and traditional red labels create an elegant festive presentation that fits New Chinese, contemporary tea-room and luxury gift styling. Arrange several pieces in a white porcelain, celadon or glass bowl while keeping the remaining tea protected. The 500g pack is also well suited to premium gift hampers and guest service.
