2021 Daxueshan “Xueshan Zhi Dian” High-Pole Ancient-Tree Raw Pu-erh – 1kg 雪山之巅

A substantial 2021 Yunnan raw Pu-erh / sheng puer from Mengku Daxueshan, pressed into an impressive 1kg cake under the 雪山之巅 / Xueshan Zhi Dian presentation. The tea is presented as high-pole ancient-tree, single-tree material selected from early spring harvests, giving this oversized cake both strong visual presence and serious gongfu-tea appeal.

Tea type: Raw Pu-erh / Sheng Puer
Year: 2021 early spring
Origin: Mengku Daxueshan, Lincang, Yunnan
Tea style: High-pole ancient-tree / single-tree material
Format: Large compressed round tea cake
Net weight: 1kg / 1000g

Taste & aroma

The liquor is bright and clean with a high-mountain fragrance, soft sweetness and a smooth entrance. Bitterness and astringency are restrained, allowing the floral, mineral and returning-sweetness character to stay clear through repeated infusions.

How to brew

Gongfu: Break off 6–8g with a tea pick and use a 100–150ml gaiwan or small teapot. Brew with 95–100°C / 203–212°F water. Start with an 8–12 second infusion and lengthen later steeps gradually.

Everyday teapot: Use around 4–5g per 300ml of hot water and steep for 2–3 minutes. Re-steep several times, increasing the time as the leaves open.

When to drink

This high-mountain raw Pu-erh is best enjoyed from late morning through the afternoon, especially during longer gongfu sessions where its aroma, texture and returning sweetness can develop across many infusions. The large cake also makes it suitable for long-term rotation and aging.

Food pairing

Pair with fresh fruit, lightly roasted nuts, almond pastries, steamed dumplings, mild cheeses or simple rice dishes. Lighter foods allow the tea’s high-mountain fragrance and clean sweetness to remain prominent.

Storage & aging

Keep the 1kg cake in a clean, dry, ventilated and odor-free place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Because of its large format, breathable tea paper and a dedicated tea box or large ceramic storage vessel are especially useful. Stable conditions allow raw Pu-erh to develop gradually over time.

Tea-room styling & gifting

The oversized 1kg round cake and blue-white mountain design make this one of the strongest visual pieces in a New Chinese, Zen, collector or wabi-sabi tea interior. Display one wrapped cake on a sturdy dark-wood stand beside Yixing clay, celadon or handmade stoneware. Its impressive scale also makes it a memorable gift for serious Pu-erh drinkers and collectors.
