2020 Jingmai Orchid-Honey Ripe Pu-erh Dragon Pearls – 500g 景迈兰香熟茶龙珠

A convenient Jingmai ripe Pu-erh / shou puer made from 2020 tea material and formed into individually wrapped dragon pearls of approximately 6g each. This format combines the mellow depth of aged ripe Pu-erh with the convenience of a single-session portion: one pearl, one brew, no tea knife required.

Tea type: Ripe Pu-erh / Shou Puer
Tea area: Jingmai, Yunnan
Tea material: 2020
Format: Individually wrapped dragon pearls
Portion size: Approx. 6g each
Net weight: 500g

Taste & aroma

The cup opens smooth and sweet, with a developed ripe-Pu-erh body and a distinctive orchid-and-honey-like sweetness. The liquor is clear, rounded and substantial, with visible golden tips in the leaf and a soft returning sweetness that continues through repeated infusions. The aged character keeps the profile settled and mellow rather than sharp.

How to brew

Gongfu method: Use one dragon pearl in a 120–180ml gaiwan or small teapot. Use freshly boiled water around 95–100°C / 203–212°F. Give the pearl a quick rinse, then begin with a 10–20 second infusion. As the compressed leaf opens, gradually lengthen later steeps.

Mug or everyday teapot: Use one pearl for roughly 300–400ml of hot water. Steep for 2–3 minutes and re-steep several times. A longer later infusion gives a deeper, sweeter and thicker cup.

When to drink

This is an easy late-morning, afternoon or after-meal tea. The mellow ripe-Pu-erh body works especially well when you want something darker and smoother than young raw Pu-erh, while the single-portion format makes it practical for the office, travel or casual daily brewing.

Food pairing

Pair with roasted nuts, date pastries, sesame sweets, dark chocolate, mooncake, dim sum or lightly roasted savoury foods. The orchid-honey sweetness is especially pleasant beside foods with caramel, grain or nutty notes.

Storage & aging

Keep the tea sealed, dry, clean and protected from direct light, humidity and strong household odors. Store the individually wrapped pearls together in a tea tin, ceramic jar or well-sealed tea container. Stable storage helps preserve the tea while allowing its mellow character to continue evolving.

Tea-room styling & display

The compact individually wrapped pearls are ideal for a New Chinese, Zen, Japandi or contemporary tea corner. Place a small selection in a celadon bowl, white porcelain dish, glass jar or dark timber tray beside a gaiwan and fairness pitcher, while keeping the rest properly stored.

Gift ideas

The one-pearl-per-session format makes this 500g pack especially gift-friendly. It suits birthdays, housewarmings, Lunar New Year, host gifts, office sharing and Chinese-tea tasting sets. Pair it with a porcelain gaiwan or tasting cups for a polished presentation.
