How to brew
Gongfu: Break off 6–8g and use a 100–150ml gaiwan or small teapot. Brew with 95–100°C / 203–212°F water. Rinse briefly, then begin with a 10–15 second infusion and extend later steeps gradually.
Everyday teapot: Use about 5g per 300ml of boiling water and steep for 3–4 minutes. Re-steep several times, increasing the time for later brews.
When to drink
This mellow ripe Pu-erh works well after breakfast, after lunch or during a relaxed evening tea session. Its compact 200g size also makes it easy to keep in a regular tea rotation without committing to a full 357g cake.
