2013 Yinhao Tuo Wang Raw Pu-erh Tuocha – 100g 银毫沱王生普
A 2013 Lincang raw Pu-erh / sheng puer pressed into a compact 100g tuocha. The tea has had more than a decade to settle and develop, giving this small-format aged sheng a mature aromatic character while preserving the clarity, sweetness and structure associated with raw Pu-erh.
Tea type: Raw Pu-erh / Sheng Puer
Year: 2013
Origin: Lincang, Yunnan
Format: Compressed tuocha / bowl tea
Net weight: 100g
Taste & aroma
The liquor is clear and bright with a refreshing structure, gentle sweetness and a light balance of bitterness and astringency that resolves into a lingering aftertaste. With age, the profile becomes more settled and layered, making it a compact entry point into mature Lincang sheng Pu-erh.
How to brew
Gongfu: Break off 5–7g and use a 100–130ml gaiwan or small teapot. Brew with 95–100°C / 203–212°F water. Rinse briefly, then start at around 8–12 seconds and extend gradually through later infusions.
Everyday teapot: Use around 4–5g per 300ml and steep for 2–3 minutes. Re-steep several times, increasing the time as the leaves open.
When to drink
This aged raw Pu-erh works well from late morning through the afternoon, especially when you want a brighter, more structured cup than ripe Pu-erh. Its 100g size also makes it convenient for sampling, travel or keeping several aged teas in rotation.
Food pairing
Pair with fresh fruit, lightly roasted nuts, almond biscuits, mild cheeses, steamed dumplings or simple rice dishes. Avoid very sweet desserts if you want the tea’s clean finish and returning sweetness to stay prominent.
Storage & aging
Store in a clean, dry, ventilated and odor-free environment away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Keep it in its wrapper, a dedicated tea box or breathable Pu-erh storage. Stable conditions help preserve the tea’s aged character and allow continued development.
Tea-room styling & gifting
The compact green-and-cream tuocha presentation works beautifully in a New Chinese, vintage tea-house or collector-style display. Pair it with celadon, white porcelain or aged wood. The 100g format is also ideal for curated tea flights, tasting sets and gifts for someone exploring aged raw Pu-erh.
