2003 Kangti High-Aroma Ripe Pu-erh Mini Square Bricks – 500g 康堤普洱方砖

A well-aged 2003 Yunnan ripe Pu-erh / shou puer made from arbor large-leaf tea and pressed into compact mini square bricks. The high-aroma style combines mature fermented depth with the convenience of individually portioned small bricks, making it easy to brew aged Pu-erh without breaking apart a full-size cake.

Tea type: Ripe Pu-erh / Shou Puer
Year: 2003
Tea material: Yunnan arbor large-leaf tea
Format: Mini square tea bricks
Approx. brick size: 2.8cm across × 1.5cm thick
Total net weight: 500g

Taste & aroma

The liquor is deep, smooth and mature with a pronounced aged-tea aroma, warm woody notes, soft dark sweetness and a rounded mouthfeel. The long storage period gives the tea a settled character with very little sharpness.

How to brew

Gongfu: Use roughly 6–8g in a 120–150ml gaiwan or small teapot. Split a mini brick if necessary. Brew with 95–100°C / 203–212°F water, rinse briefly, then begin with a 10–15 second infusion and extend later steeps gradually.

Everyday teapot: Use about 5g per 300ml of boiling water and steep for 3–4 minutes. Re-steep several times, increasing the time as the compressed tea opens.

When to drink

This aged ripe Pu-erh works especially well after meals, during the evening or as a steady everyday tea for cooler weather. The compact bricks also make it convenient for office storage and travel.

Food pairing

Pair with roasted nuts, dates, dark chocolate, sesame pastries, mooncake, dim sum, roast meats or mushroom dishes. Mature woody and caramel-like flavours pair especially well with the tea’s smooth aged profile.

Storage & aging

Keep the mini bricks in a clean, dry, ventilated and odor-free place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. A tea tin, ceramic jar or dedicated tea box works well for keeping the aged aroma clean and stable.

Tea-room styling & gifting

The small paper-wrapped bricks create a strong vintage Chinese tea-house look when arranged in a celadon bowl, dark timber tray or glass tea jar. They fit naturally into New Chinese, Zen, wabi-sabi and collector-style interiors and are easy to include in aged-tea tasting sets or premium gift boxes.
