Net weight: 500g
Origin: Yunnan, China
Taste & aroma
Expect a pronounced sweet rice-like fragrance over the earthy, mellow base of ripe Pu-erh. The liquor brews deep red-brown with a rounded, soft texture and lingering aromatic sweetness. Because the tea is already portioned into small tuocha, the flavour opens gradually over repeated infusions without the need for a tea knife.
How to brew
Gongfu: Unwrap one mini tuocha and place it in a 100–150ml gaiwan or small teapot. Use water at 95–100°C / 203–212°F. Give the tea a quick rinse, then begin with a 10–20 second infusion. Lengthen later steeps as the compressed tea opens.
Mug or everyday pot: Use one mini tuocha for about 300–400ml of boiling water and steep for 2–4 minutes. Refill several times. Shorter steeps emphasize fragrance; longer steeps give a darker, fuller cup.
When to drink & food pairing
This mellow ripe Pu-erh works particularly well after meals, during an afternoon tea break or as a warming evening tea. Pair it with sesame pastries, walnut cake, dark chocolate, mooncakes, roasted nuts, dried fruit or savoury dim sum.
Storage
Keep the tea in a clean, dry, ventilated and odor-free place away from direct sunlight, excess humidity, perfume and kitchen smells. Store most of the individually wrapped pieces inside a tea tin, ceramic jar or resealable pouch.
Tea-room styling & gifting
The cream wrappers with green accents create a relaxed traditional-Chinese look. Arrange a few pieces in a white porcelain or celadon bowl beside a dark wood tea tray for New Chinese, Zen, Japandi or wabi-sabi interiors. The 500g pack is also easy to divide into tasting sets, host gifts and curated Chinese tea hampers.
